Staff Notes
Nothing says “new” quite like spring. No matter where you live, spring is the season that brings welcome changes in our lives. I am inspired and energized when the earliest fl owers start to peek out of the dirt. It’s a nice change to open the windows and hear the songbirds returning to my feeders. Spring just feels good.
So to celebrate the change in seasons, we’ve made some changes to your Acreage magazine. You’ll fi nd that we’ve updated our layouts and added a new feature, “Acreage Tips”. The article on page 18, Shedding Light on Sheds is full of valuable information if you are thinking about putting up a shed.
Speaking of sheds, if you don’t have an ATV in your barn or shed, or if you’re thinking about a new ATV, take the time to look at our Product Review on page 13. The ATVs we’re featuring will work hard in your garden and then take you to your favorite fi shing hole.
I think you’ll also enjoy reading about Earl and Virginia Erickson. This remarkable couple has been gardening together for 39 years. They turned a hobby they loved into a post-career part time business. Their spirits are still growing strong, much like their gardens. Take a few minutes and read their story on page 28. I think you’re going to enjoy it.
As always, I hope you’ll enjoy this issue as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together for you. Best wishes for a joyous spring from the entire Acreage staff.
