Heavy Chevy: 1957 Chevrolet 3100

This prime piece of pickup truck belongs to Michelle Boyero of Cantonment, Fla. Michelle and her husband, Bob, bought the pickup about four years ago from a seller in Arizona.

The 3100 came into their possession with a straight body and not much else. “It was quite the mess when we first got it,” says Michelle. Bob lead the charge on the restoration, with Michelle chipping in and learning along the way. “He’s taught me a lot over the last few years.”

After restoring two vintage Chevy pickups (see Bob’s ’66 left), the couple are looking to branch out on their next project. Michelle explains: “Bob’s trying to talk me into a 1968 Chevelle, but I’m leaning towards a 1970 Ford Bronco—we’ll see who wins.”

While this 283-powered beauty has plenty of custom touches—a new wood bed, Dakota Digital gauges, and triple deuce carbs to name a few—it still sports the original windows with the etched VIN numbers. All matching, of course.
